Marketing one of my favorite products, music! Working with SFJAZZ is a unique opportunity to create advertising of all sizes and mediums, as well as merchandise and promotional materials. Keeping all elements branded while generating unique solutions to projects across all departments is an invigorating challenge.
I let my love of disco fly with this marketing project! Branding and promoting a San Francisco-based monthly dance party for three years helped me get truly flexible, in design, and on the dance floor!
Fashion, Fitness, Vinyl. The tagline says it all, and, as the name implies, Aerobic is an energetic independent dance music record label with worldwide reach. I lead the art direction, participate in the hands-on production of merchandise and am the face of the company at music festivals and record fairs.
Logo design is one of my all-time favorite challenges. How do you describe a person, thing, or company in one mark? I want to know your unique story so we can represent your amazing complexities in a simple and memorable way.
Summer, skateboarding and music. The Bay Bridged really knows what makes me tick! This is another music festival they bring me in on annually. I'm in charge of infusing my love of flamingoes into everything from logo design, posters, banners, print and web ads. Check out Phono Del Sol here!
Alameda County needed a solution to get it's residents off their butts and out of their cars. This project included branding, and a welcome kit that provided Oakland and surrounding neighbors with timetables, maps, and suggestions on how to get to around on foot and with the help of public transportation (and a water bottle to hydrate on their journey!).
I was tasked with scouring thousands of NASA images for the perfect pairings with Drew Dellinger's magical poems. I also brand and market all of this cosmologist's materials: posters, postcards, presentations, t-shirts and stickers are just a few tools I've armed him with in his mission. I find Drew inspiring as he weaves a love of hip hop and teachings of peaceful leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr. into everything he does.
I was contacted the day after September 11th to design and produce this response to the event. I had two weeks to create this 200-page book and get it out there to the world. What a time to be in NYC, and what an amazing outlet to work through it.
The Bay Bridged keeps Bay Area music alive. The Bay Brewed is thier annual music and beer festival which I've branded and marketed since it's first appearance in 2011. My creativity flows as freely as the brews do!
I've worked with Aunt Lute Books for over ten years, as their primary book cover designer. In the words of the founder "Many publishers use covers as a way to establish a brand; we use them to introduce the excitement of individual texts. Thus a new cover is a design task unlike any other and Amy is able to bring a unique creative energy to each one."
Alameda County 10X10 Wellness focuses on the wellbeing of people living with severe mental health challenges. Over the next 10 years, they aim to increase the life expectancy of these community members by 10 years. I provide them with all the materials they need for outreach to the community.
I branded and marketed this innovative, progressive young candidate in his San Francisco District 5 race. Tasked with everything from logo design, website design, t-shirts, buttons, stickers, posters and banners of all sizes and bi-weekly mailer pieces, this was high-paced and demanding, just the way I like it!
